Welcome To the "NEW" SouthWestRiders

As you can see, for the members that have been active, we have come up with a new look and feel for SouthWestRiders.com.  That's just the beginning.

As was the original intent of SWR, we will continue to focus on the southwestern states of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Southern California in hopes of providing new and exciting riding opportunities for our members within a few hours drive of their home.  We will not limit our accessibility to only residents of those states, but to anybody anywhere that may find our boards a helpful, pleasant and fun experience. We hope, mostly with the help of current and future members, to develop this forum into a solid source of information for the OHV enthusiast.

It is the vision of SouthWestRiders to accomplish certain goals and implement new ideas that would benefit our sport and make this forum an enjoyable destination in your Internet experience. It is also our hope that we receive the support that is needed from the membership to make our vision a reality.  It would be difficult to make a difference without your help.

It is the goal of SouthWestRiders to accomplish, but not limited to, the following;

  • to support the organizations that support our sport in any way possible.
  • support or opposition to legislation that would directly effect our sport by either letter or e-mail campaigns to our Senators and Congressmen.
  • participate in and organize clean up activities and other projects to assist our land managers in maintaining open riding areas.
  • maybe we'll even adopt a highway or two

Some of you that have been active members here might know that I have always intended to make this your forum.  It's possible that I didn't do a very good job of that the first time around.  It's been decided to implement a few ideas that would assure that you, the members, will control most of what goes and doesn't go in this forum. Some of the ideas will come over time as our membership increases.

To be implemented immediately;

  • Administrators will not be Moderators unless asked for a specific reason and then will only advise, the decision will remain with the Moderators.
  • Administrators will control the ban list at the request of the Moderators.
  • The role of the Administrators will be to control and modify the content of the forum (not including topics and posts) and to take the steps necessary to realize the goals of our community.
  • Moderators will have full control as to the content of the forum and will agree to fully enforce the forum rules.
  • SuperMods are Moderators that are trusted with more board permissions.

We hope our efforts will show that we are reasonably committed to becoming the SouthWest's best source of  OHV information.

You can't change what you don't acknowledge
