How far have you gone in 1 day

I just got home from a 1 day roundtrip from Goodyear to Gila Bend in a round about way with 174 miles showing on the trip odometer. We did paved and unpaved roads and trails. 2 things - earplugs and 2-way radios would have made for a better trip. The stock headlights when adjusted correctly were actually pretty good at lighting up the trail. You can over drive them if you are going faster than 35mph on rugged trails, with smooth fire roads good for 45mph.

200+ on a quad. 100+ is usually a minimum.  :laugh:

Wow,

where do you ride that far? I need to plan better for longer rides - more fuel cans and better hearing protection. Plus, an agenda would have been nice :laugh:

A few of us rode from Forest Lakes to Blue Ridge and back. Most of it was forest service roads and was quite boring.

I've done about 150 in one long day.  Can't say I enjoyed it too much.  To do it you are riding too fast to take in much of the country.  Its not how far you go, its how much you enjoy it.

On the opposite side of the sprectrum it took us almost 5 hours to do 13 miles and we were really pushing it to try to get back to camp before dark (didn't make it).  We were on a old trail east of Koosharum, Utah.  You know how people carve names and dates on the Aspens up there, well on this old trail there weren't any dates past the 40's.  Must have been an old shepherds' trail.

 Got ya beat 16 miles in 10 hrs thru the Alaskan muskeg. Lots of winching. don't want to do that all the time but it was fun

I guess I am kind of a lightweight. I rode 62 miles one day and it seemed like far.
